Sad News: Another Footballer Died On The Pitch After Crashing With Another Player

<p dir="ltr">An Argentine footballer has tragically died<br>
after colliding with another player and<br>
catching a knee to the head in a freak on<br>
pitch accident.<br>
The player, identified in local media as 24-<br>
year-old Michael Favre who played for San<br>
Jorge de Villa Elisa in Argentina’s Entre<br>
Rios province, fell to the ground while<br>
battling for the ball against his Defensores<br>
de Colon opponent, Geronimo Quintana.<br>
Quintana appeared to accidentally knee<br>
Favre in the head while the two tumbled to<br>
the ground.<br>
Favre got up after the collision, but was<br>
then knocked to the ground by a third<br>
player, identified as Favio Larrosa, who<br>
appeared to hit him in the head with his<br>
forearm.<br>

Favre struggled to get up for a second time<br>
before falling back to the ground and<br>

a statement shortly after to offer<br>
condolences to Favre’s family and his club.<br>

carried out a most brutal attack on her own<br />
daughter for the most unbelievable reason<br />
ever – male lover.<br />
The woman identified as Chiekube<br />
Igbinosa in Akumazi community of Delta<br />
State, was said to<br />
have bit off her daughter’s ear and<br />
stabbed her for having s*x with her<br />
boyfriend.<br />
Sources said the fight which led the<br />
mother biting off a scoopful of flesh<br />
from the daughter’s ear,took place<br />
around camp 74 behind Ibori Golf<br />
course in Asaba campus of the Delta<br />
State<br />
University.<br />
The 46-year-old woman is the secret<br />
lover of an Ibo trader who was deported<br />
to Nigeria three years ago from Spain,<br />
but he allegedly<br />
hoodwinked the woman’s daughter into<br />
a relationship.<br />
The daughter in question had recently<br />
graduated and is on visit to the mother<br />
after her Youth Service. While their love<br />
relationship blossoms, the unsuspecting<br />
mother who is a school vice<br />
principal, was said to have showered her<br />
lover boy with gifts. But this was not to<br />
be when the daughter<br />
identified as Mabel Igbinosa flippantly<br />
opened up to her friend her relationship<br />
with the Igbo man who is a building<br />
materials trader, including how they<br />
made love.<br />
Somehow the gist got to the mother and<br />
she decided to visit the Igbo man’s house<br />
around Okwe Quarters in Asaba.<br />
After enjoying herself with her mother’s<br />
boyfriend, the girl left his<br />
house,unknown to her that the mum was<br />
around. She immediately pounced on<br />
her, bit off her ear before stabbing her<br />
with a bottle.<br />
Police was later called in and the<br />
shameless mother and daughter were<br />

NLC blast Okupe for calling on states to downsize their civil servants

The leadership of the Nigeria Labor<br />
Congress NLC<br />
have blasted former media aide of<br />
former President Goodluck Jonathan,<br />
Doyin Okupe, for calling on state<br />
governors to downsize their civil<br />
servants so they can have enough funds<br />
to pay salaries and stop the habit of<br />
seeking bailout from the Federal<br />
government.<br />
Reacting to Okupe’s suggestion, the<br />
chairman of NLC, Ayuba Wabba,<br />
described his suggestion as a jaundiced<br />
argument. He questioned Okupe’s<br />
degree as a medical doctor. The<br />
statement in part reads..<br />
“Ordinarily, we would not have<br />
responded to<br />
Doyin Okupe when he urged governors,<br />
in a statement few days ago, to retrench<br />
civil servants as a panacea to irregular<br />
payment of<br />
salaries, because we know him.<br />
In his jaundiced argument, very much<br />
unlike one who is truly deserving of his<br />
certificate from a medical school, Okupe<br />
said, ‘virtually all state governments in<br />
the country have over-bloated civil<br />
service’.<br />
To underscore this point, he said<br />
between‘2008 and 2009, Ogun State<br />
received N2 billion monthly from the<br />
federation account and<br />
paid out N1.8billion as staff salaries,<br />
wages and overhead costs’ to civil<br />
servants not more than 50,000 in a state<br />
with a population of 5,000,000.<br />
In his view therefore it was ‘an obvious<br />
socio-economic absurdity and<br />
incongruity where 10 per cent of the<br />
population was<br />
consuming 90 per cent of the wealth of<br />
the state. Okupe is bandying political<br />
statistics and this is neither good for his<br />
health nor the health of those with whom<br />
he seeks to ingratiate<br />
himself. We at the Nigeria Labour<br />
Congress believe in the equitable<br />
distribution of the nation’s resources.<br />
We will not subscribe to a situation<br />
whereby 10<br />
per cent corner 90 per cent of the<br />
resources of the state. It is in furtherance<br />
of this that we urge Okupe to do a<br />
forensic audit of what Ogun got, what it<br />
paid to civil servants, contractors<br />
and politicians and what it used in<br />
running the Government House!”<br />

533km celebratory walk after Muhammadu Buhari<br />
became President in April 2015 says he now<br />
regrets the action.<br />
The reason for this is not far fetched, according<br />
to him it is because he expected more from the<br />
President Buhari, and is dissatisfied with the way<br />
the president has been ruling Nigeria so far.<br />
Speaking about the removal of subsidy and<br />
increase in fuel prices, he said; “Removing fuel<br />
subsidy at this hard time is not palatable to hear,<br />
when so many workers and labourers can hardly put<br />
food on their table, many companies have folded up,<br />
and cost of living is very high.<br />
“Nigerians have been hoping for a positive change<br />
for a very long time, enduring hardship and now the<br />
Federal government wants to make things worse for<br />
the masses.”<br />
Hashimu met with President Buhari last April<br />
after he had successfully walked from Lagos to<br />
the FCT, where the President, who was yet to be<br />
sworn in at the time, thanked him for the show of<br />

PDP Commends Army For Chibok Girl Rescue, Criticises APC

– The PDP urged Nigerians to support<br />

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)<br />
has reacted to the rescue of Amina<br />
Ali, one of the abducted Chibok<br />
girls by the Nigerian army.<br />
Amina was rescued in the Sambisa<br />
Forest, close to the border with<br />
Cameroon on Tuesday, May 18<br />
alongside her Boko Haram<br />
husband.<br />
The PDP congratulated the Nigerian<br />
army for a good job but criticised<br />
the All Progressives Congress (APC)<br />
for playing politics with the<br />
security of Nigerians.<br />
The PDP via its social media said<br />
the APC claimed there was no<br />
weapon and that the infamous<br />
Dasukigate saga rendered the army<br />
powerless.<br />
It said the clearance of Sambisa by<br />
the army and the rescue of the<br />
Chibok girl showed that the army is<br />
well equipped as against the claim<br />
by the APC government that the<br />
army was ill equipped due to the<br />
misappropriation of fund meant<br />
for the purchase of arms.<br />
